Doug Haynes is one of the world’s top executives of multiple public as well as private enterprises; he is also the President of the Council. He most recently worked for Point72 which is one of the top equity hedge funds in the entire United States, there he served as the hedge funds President. After the Covid pandemic struck the world by storm and forced everything to be put on pause, Doug Haynes at first enjoyed the power of technology. Without being able to communicate with each of his clients through zoom, Doug Haynes says he and the businesses he works for would have been forced to shut down almost instantly. However, once things seemed to go back to normal he noticed everyone was still indulging in zoom while meeting with clients and potential ones. He felt this was not how it was supposed to be done, he says he believed strongly in his “old school” ways and felt it was important to communicate with people in person if the situations allowed it. He says this helps strength the relationship between the clients and he and help builds trust much more rapidly. Haynes has his days filled with many different tasks he needs to continue to work on. He wakes up relatively early each day and gives himself a full hour of his attention focusing on writing; he is in the middle of writing a book which is the fourth one he has worked on thus far. He says for those who wish to have and live a successful life, you must never doubt yourself and to never stray away from failure. He also believes it is important to always have a little fun and to try your best to avoid living a stressed out life.
