Eamon O’Rourke
Eamon O’Rourke’s career began in 2008 with his music video for “In A Dream” by The Devil Makes Three. In that same year, he played the character of “Mike” in the film “The Rocker.” He has since created music videos for bands such as Coldplay, The Faint and The Hold Steady, as well as shorts for ESPN’s 30 For 30 series. In 2009, O’Rourke started a short film program at Princeton University in which he teaches students about film production and mentoring undergrads who are interested in pursuing a career in filmmaking. His philosophy is to make films that highlight stories of people who are not usually seen on the screen. He has released two feature films, “Asking For It” (2013, Independently produced and directed) and “Take Your Ball And Go Home” (2016, produced by A24 and New York City’s IFC Center). O’Rourke has a passion for charity work; he has run marathons for The Hero Initiative (autosomal-dominant Alzheimer’s disease), since 2012, as well as donating blood annually. In an interview with the Huffington Post in 2014 he talks about how his belief that art should be used to help change the world.
