Vinod Gupta Interview On The Most Effective Ways to Achieve Goals

Billionsuccess.com interviewed Vinod Gupta, CEO of Global Solutions and Chairman at KKR, Inc., to get his thoughts on the most effective ways to achieve goals.

Vinod Gupta has a long career in advising companies and organizations on their strategy, finance and operations. He has started and run his own companies and worked with several large organizations like the Ford Motor Company, Honeywell International Inc., MasterCard Worldwide, and the U.S. Department of Commerce.

What are Vinod Gupta’s views on success?

“Don’t chase money or material goods,” says Vinod Gupta. “Your challenges will come. Don’t confuse money with success. Money can be tragic. It can bring a lot of fear and anxiety. But it’s not the end of life.”

How does one find success?

No matter what your goal, Vinod Gupta says that you need to put in the hours, even if it seems like no one is watching or wants to hear from you. “Success is a slow process,” he says. “It’s not a sprint. It’s not a single event. You won’t win the championship by being in the race for one mile. You have to be in it for the long term.”

How does one achieve success when working with a team?

Vinod says that you need to be clear about your expectations for each team member and then make sure you give them what they need to succeed. “It’s very important for the team to respect each other,” he says. “If you can have a high degree of respect and trust with your team, you’re much more likely to succeed.”

How does one succeed when facing failure?

Vinod Gupta says that it’s easy to get discouraged when things turn for the worse, but it is important to stay positive and move forward.
