Greycoat: Landlord Has to Pay £1.4m For Abusing the System
A landlord in West London was recently ordered to pay a £1.4 fine, as Greycoat specialists note. They say he was accused of breaking the planning rules and not following legal orders.
The name of the landlord is Ali Bahbahani. He was supposed to appear in court on January 25, 2024, but he failed to do so. As a result of this, he will have to pay an additional £16,000 on top of the fine over the mortgage rate. Greycoat notes that there are several reasons that Ali has been fined.
He was fined for charging extra to convert a house into flats. He was also fined for not demolishing unauthorized extensions. Justin Morley is the head of the legal services. As Greycoat explains, he applauded the officers for their hard work on the case.
A person who impersonated Ali attended the hearing. This caused a delay in the case. Cllr Shital Manro is a cabinet member of the Good Growth and New Housing. According to Greycoat, he stated that what Ali did was an abuse of the planning system.
