Greycoat: Fraudster Sentenced to Jail for Real Estate Scam

Michael Tutt was recently sentenced to 10 months in jail for trying to get £425 out of a couple in May 2022 as Greycoat specialists comment. He posed as a letting agent and sent up a realistic-looking website. A couple was trying to rent a home in Chandler’s Ford, New Hampshire.

Michael also used a fake name on the website. The couple had planned to meet with Michael. However, he never showed up. As they know how the housing industry works, the couple was concerned and decided to do an internet search on the man. This is something that Greycoat specialists are pretty well aware of.

They found out that he was a fake letting agent. Michael was later arrested for his actions. Paul Patterson stated that Michael regrets his actions and wants to get his life back on the right track (CoStar).

However, this did not sway Judge Nicholas Rowland. He stated that Michael was trying to get money out of the scam, but that does not work. He also stated that there will be no rehabilitation in this case. According to Greycoat, this is something very common for house buyers.

Additionally, the judge stated that Michael would be going to jail. Unfortunately, scams like this are not uncommon. You have to be careful if you want to buy a home. Greycoat Real Estate can help you avoid the scams and find the home you want.
